I can tell you it's really hard to put yourself out there. Specially when you have the social skills of a potato. But I keep going. Because when it works out, it's also the best feeling in the world. Like on last Friday, where I went from awkwardly standing in a corner in a room full of people I didn't know to endind up in the coolest restaurant with a group of friendly swedes and a brazilian girl. Thank you guys.
But today I want to share with you the most beautiful place I went to in recent months. Just a day before starting my new job, I decided it was time for one more "Agnes explores the city" afternoon. And *gasp* the sun was shining!
With my itinerary plan in mind, I ventured in the freezing cold. Actually it wasn't so bad that I left the house a little late, because I got an amazing sunset light as a reward (scroll down please).
This is the first place I want to talk to you about:
This cute neighborhood full of dreamy yellow houses is called Nyboder. It is old... its construction was finished in 1795, if Wikipedia is correct. It used to be the home of many navy officers and their families.
I couldn't help but stare, take dozens of pictures and just absorb the prettiness of this place. I spent a good half an hour walking around these streets, which translates in all these images you see above.
The sun was slowly going down, and I still wanted to see The Little Mermaid, so I hurried up to Kastellet. What a beautiful place. The garden around it is just so so calm and quiet. I don't know if the light helped, but once more I just stood there, sat in a bench, and appreciated the scenery. I'm the one who walks fast every damn time, but there... I couldn't help but slow my pace and enjoy. It felt like I was in a movie.
I can honestly say that this place made me feel peaceful and calm as I haven't in a good while. I know I want to go back as soon as possible. And you should too.
P.S. I know that I've been lousy. I have a post planning in my head and all, but I simply can't find the time to post (more) often. Fingers crossed I get better at it in the future.
